My 17 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry is a valuable asset I bring to the table. I am more than happy to work with your lender to help secure financing for your home purchase.
In addition to my banking experience, I have served in many volunteer capacities with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Having a daughter who was diagnosed at age 6 (22 years ago) with Type 1 diabetes prompted me to advocate for funding to provide research and better management of the disease. I have served as the Illinois State Leader for the JDRF and found that I'm very good at negotiating on behalf of others; whether it be for better care in our public schools, or NIH funding for research. I have testifed at both state and federal levels to increase awareness and I never pass up an opportunity to provide programs for civic groups such as Rotary or Lions Clubs.
I have served three terms on the Governmental Affairs Committee and two terms on the Forms Committee for Capital Area Association of Realtors and also served on the Petersburg City Council as Ward 3 Alderman. I volunteer to assist with civic activities whenever possible and recently joined the board of the Lincoln League which was founded to enhance the experience for visitors at New Salem State Historic Park.
As President for the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, I loved helping others and have found that the qualities I have fostered while in banking and as a diabetes advocate have carried over into my real estate career...trust, advocate, nurturing, articulating, kindness and caring. I participated as a candidate for the Springfield Area ADA Kiss A Pig campaign. Currently, I'm currently serving my second term on the Forms Committee for the Capital Area Association of Realtors.
This not only allows me to remain current on all documentation used in real estate transactions, but allows me to use my ten years of real estate experience to provide input for improvement to those documents.
